5 jewelry places in Paris, the existence of which you had no idea.

Planning any trip is a process which consists of many elements. Our goal was to find trinket places in Paris which you will not find while walking the beaten tracks proposed by the best guide and uncle Google. We asked for recommendations of local jewelry lovers… and we’ve got it!

I’ll take you too, of course, in cult places, that is the smallest jewelry gallery in Europe and the “home of works of art and jewelry” in the Louvre. But apart from that we will visit places which are difficult to find without a decent research and small talk with the locals.

We were brought there by a native Parisian jeweler met while eating a baguette in a small cafe on the Seine. Why are they so great? I’ll tell you about it in a moment…

Galerie Mini Masterpiece

Imagine that you are standing in the elevator. You know perfectly well that in this claustrophobic “passenger lift” can go up to 8-10 people. But then our elevator is packed like a can of sardines. Why am I referring to this, my dear Magpie? Because in Paris we visited an amazing and at the same time, the smallest jewelry gallery I have ever been to…

I’m talking about Galerie Mini Masterpiece. We managed to meet the gallery manager – Esther de Beaucé, who told us that she only invites sculptors who specialize in small sculptural jewelry forms to participate in exhibitions.

I can tell you that the gallery is really tiny. I wonder on what metric area the exhibition openings are organized, since we are only able to walk freely around the main glass case and open the drawers when we take our backpacks off. Ok, enough of that pondering. Let’s start watching…

Here you have “Plastica Moralia” of Faust Cardinali. We see the sculptural brooches made of: gold, aluminum, stones, branches and enamel. Blimey! They look amazing, like the forms taken out straight from the magical forest designed by… Lars von Trier. Anyway, see for yourself. I’m curious what your associations would be. And we move on…
