With her distinctive aesthetic and strong sense of individuality, she has made a remarkable mark on the industry. Around jewellery, she builds sophisticated visual narratives, passionately telling stories about rare gemstones, the behind-the-scenes work of designers, multigenerational jewellery families, and the artistry of craftsmanship. When searching for the most beautiful engagement rings, she always looks for “something more” than perfectly executed interpretations of classics. When recommending exceptional wedding bands, she never overlooks extravagant and unexpected alternatives. Through her eyes — and lens — audiences discover trends and novelties unveiled at the world’s most prestigious jewellery events across Europe, the United States, and Asia. An important part of the Blingsis mission is promoting the Polish jewellery scene. Agata consistently proves that Poland is home to outstanding goldsmiths and designers. In 2019, Blingsis was named the second-best jewellery blog in the world by International Jewellery London.

Agata Jankowiak

Agata Jankowiak is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of Blingsis. Since 2015, she has been building the platform’s reputation while collaborating with leading Polish and international jewellery brands as a jewellery stylist, creative director, and model. An artistic soul with academic distinction, she graduated with honours in Sculpture from the University of the Arts in Poznań. Her sensitivity to three-dimensional art naturally evolved into a successful career in the world of jewellery. She combines practical expertise with certified professional knowledge as a specialist in pearls and cut diamonds. Through her charisma, expertise, and talent, she has carved out a respected position within the elite and often exclusive jewellery industry. She is regularly invited to the world’s leading jewellery events, including JCK and Luxury in Las Vegas, Vicenzaoro, Oroarezzo, QERAT in Kuwait, Jewellery Arabia in Bahrain, INHORGENTA Munich, JIS Miami, Jewellery Geneva, Amberif in Gdańsk, Milano Jewellery Week, IJS Istanbul Jewellery Show, IIJS Premiere in India, and Precious Room by Muriel Piaser. Agata has also served as a juror for prestigious jewellery competitions, including PREMIERE during Oroarezzo 2023, the 19th edition of the HRD Antwerp Design Awards, Istanbul Design Awards 2025, the 15th International Jewellery Design Competition in Turkey, and the JCK Jewelers’ Choice Awards 2026 (Influencer Voice category). Sparkling Beginnings

The name Blingsis refers to the sisterly collaboration that gave birth to the platform and editorial vision. In 2015, when Agata Jankowiak came up with the idea of creating artistic editorial shoots for jewellery brands, Katarzyna Jankowiak — a talented photographer and graduate of the University of the Arts in Poznań — picked up her camera, and that moment marked the beginning of the first professional Polish platform fully dedicated to jewellery.

How did two young women without established connections in the jewellery or fashion industries achieve success so quickly? A glance at Blingsis’ earliest posts offers a clear answer: the exceptional visual quality of the editorials created by the talented sister duo attracted brands like a magnet, inspiring more and more companies to collaborate and present their products through the artistic lens of the Jankowiak sisters.
