Easter bunny’s carrots. Childhood memories.

As little girls we used to keenly prepare our baskets to which Easter Bunny was to put some little Easter gifts. Katarzyna’s basket was always done with precision. The handle was carefully tied with a ribbon perfectly bound on the side in a beautiful bow. Mine was bigger and prepared dashingly. The difference was evident also in cutting the colorful crepe and shiny pieces of paper to line them. Katarzyna cut equal pieces, and I? You probably guessed that mine were Cubist, uneven and rather hasty, so that they would have quickly filled my enormous basket.

Waiting. It is always the most fun. It was hard to fall asleep. So we spent most of the night talking. And in the morning, excited, I woke Katarzyna up jumping off our bunk bed and we rushed to look for presents. One day in our beautiful baskets we’ve found… Bunny snacks. We were devastated! With tears in our eyes we took 2 large carrots from the paper decoration… We didn’t know what has happened. We were looking for the presents still not letting go of the overgrown carrots. Their leaves were sweeping the floor. I told Katarzyna that we must have had been very naughty so the bunny left us its food. 

Such gifts are the dream gifts!
