Are you wondering what jewelry to wear for a date or won’t the chlorine devour your favorite necklace if you jump to the pool? It crossed my mind many times, too. So we have prepared a practical guide for you. I chose 10 “real life” situations to advise you how to choose jewelry.

INTERVIEW

Interview is this moment when you have to think about dress code (that is adequate way of dressing) quite seriously. What you wear cannot take one’s attention from what you’re talking about. If you are applying for a job related to media, fashion or commercials, your outfit should show that you follow trends. If you don’t flick through color magazines while drinking coffee, choose something classic. Black and white is always in fashion. Then you won’t have to worry about clothing fail, because such outfit will win the employer’s respect. What accessories to choose? Go with a good watch, subtle golden necklace or tiny earrings, which will give a minimalist feminine touch. Remember, that you have to shine, of course, with brilliant conversation. And the outfit or lucky charm can only give you more confidence.

SHOPPING

Walking in shopping mall is an effective training. The research shows that during one shopping spree women cover over 4.8 km in only 2,5h. What does it entail? They burn about 385 kcal! Therefore, the basics are comfortable shoes and sport casual outfit. You can wear your favorite chains and bracelet and necessarily a watch – to control the time. You’ll need a large shopping style bag. At the end of shopping you could use a hand to carry all the bags. If you practice intensive snapping or send your boyfriend photos from the dressing room 😉 it is necessary to arm the phone with nice and solid case. Then – if your lovely iPhone slips out of your hand – you won’t have to exchange the glass the next day.

DATE

The first impression can be done only once. Sounds a but like Paulo… but trust me, in this case it is very true. Accentuate your personality with your outfit in such a way that you feel good and look cool. Wear your favorite large earrings or choose one strong jewelry accent – a bracelet or a nice designer ring. Because only one blogger in Poland truly mastered the Christmas tree style. Show your strengths, but don’t show too much – it teases curiosity more than the outfit where you overly try to be sexy. I know you’ll have butterflies in your stomach. This is why when opening your wardrobe you should remember Magpie’s good advice. “Don’t show you are trying too much.”

WEDDING

For a wedding party I recommend a cocktail dress which will go perfectly with a delicate feminine jewelry, that will light up the outfit, just like in our example. Think also about a sparkling bag, it can also work as a jewelry accessory. Don’t go with black or white unless you care about conventions. What is most important? That day the bride is the star, so forget about dresses like from 18th century costume movies. Fabulous 13 cm high stilettos? Even the toughest players won’t stand in them until dawn. So prepare two pairs of shoes. Make sure the other pair also goes well with the dress. This way in the morning you will remember great fun instead saving your sore feet.

FESTIVALS

Festivals are a live force! We are consciously exposed to… awesome fun accompanied by dust, dirt and not always sunny weather. Therefore, forget about any dress code. Pack your backpack with shorts, tassels, beads. Get inspired by the 70’s. Combine styles (folk, indian, boho, etno) forms, colors and patterns. Of course don’t wear expensive jewelry – leave grandmother’s ring at home. If you want to stand out, put away also the everyday minimalist jewelry. Put colorful jewelry on your hands and neck. Put flowers in hair, wear a plume – go bold and crazy with outfits and jewelry. It is the only chance in the year to feel total freedom of style and music. Have fun!

TRAVEL

It’s September. You’re coming back from an exotic country. You’re landing in the evening on Polish airport. You already know that the weather won’t spoil you. When travelling be prepared for everything. Your outfit should be practical. Comfortable trousers, T-shirt, hoodie and shoes – these are the basics. With this set I suggest minimum amount of jewelry. It’s better to carry it in a box you’ll pack to the main luggage. You’ll avoid what often happens to me – beeping at the airport gates. A special situation is when you take expensive jewelry for holidays. Then it’s better to keep an eye on it. Wear it like a Magpie or pack it safely in hand luggage.

TRAINING

I’ll disappoint you. There is no indestructible jewelry. Therefore, don’t expose the beloved one to damage and break. Before going to the gym leave it at home! In particular, remove it before entering the pool. Remember that the precious gold and silver alloys always contain additions of other metals, after contact with chlorine their structure may weaken, then the chains and bracelets become more susceptible to rupture. Invest in a waterproof watch with a heart rate monitor and pedometer. Unless you have such applications on your smart phone. A good solution is colored shoulder pouch, where you will keep your phone while jogging. When selecting your training outfit – choose color. Stay stylish even at the gym, because a stretched T-shirt and old leggings are not motivating. And it’s all about you feeling beautiful.

Watch the stars and feel like at the Oscars. Your outfit should look like on the red carpet. Under no circumstances take your prom dress out of the wardrobe, even if you have gorgeous body and you are happy that it still fits. You watch Carringtons, The Bold and the Beautiful or Sex and the City? These are classics, so you are surely nodding in confirmation. If not, enter the titles in a search engine. Choose a long creation, reveal the back, get an up do. And jewelry? Go crazy! Wrap yourself in the brilliance of diamonds, pearls or zirconia substitutes. Sparkle and feel like a queen of the night.

BUSINESS MEETING

Show your personality and confidence. Forget about the old two-piece. You don’t want to look like a typical clerk. Don’t be afraid of combining classic style with modern accessories. Shirt, pencil skirt, good watch and handbag – it never goes out of fashion. But think if it wouldn’t be cool to diversify this boring business uniform with patterns or colorful stilettos. Some say that business women should wear expensive accessories to show prestige. Dear Ladies, there’s nothing worse than badly chosen jewelry. Then it doesn’t matter how much it costs.

PARTY

Today for the party you don’t have to wear a cocktail dress and stilettos. You’ll look feminine wearing even a jumpsuit and original comfortable shoes. This season your must have is a bag with a playful pattern/slogan and ear cuffs. When you’re ready to leave, remember to spray the perfume before putting jewelry on. Cosmetics and detergents containing powerful active ingredients can destroy the coating of stones, silver or gold. This leads to tarnishing or permanent color change. Go wild with fashion, track trends. Then you will always look great.
