Vicenzaoro – what to expect from the September fair?
In times of uncertainty, one thing remains certain – at the start of September, the jewelry world sets its course for Italy. From September 5–9, Vicenzaoro returns – the iconic fair in the Veneto region, staged by the dynamic Italian Exhibition Group. The Expo Centre will once again be filled with dazzling new collections from the crème de la crème of luxury brands from Italy and around the globe. The highlight of this September’s edition will be the unveiling of Trendbook 2027+, an influential forecast prepared by Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting.
Vicenzaoro draws the finest high-end jewelry houses. Organizers announced a complete sell-out of exhibitor spaces weeks ago. But its success lies in more than strong business results. Vicenzaoro is a platform that underlines the cultural and social role of jewelry. It builds an international community while celebrating the heritage and power of Veneto as a global jewelry hub. From my perspective, this culture-shaping mission is what makes the Italian Exhibition Group’s project truly unique.
The best in Vicenza
Italy’s most renowned maisons – Roberto Coin, Damiani, Crivelli, Annamaria Cammilli, Fope – as well as global powerhouses such as Autore, Fabergé, Schreiner, Yoko London, Diamond Group – will all be there. We’ll see the “creations that combine art, culture and experimentation to further respond to the high-end market and evoke new emotions in those who wear them,” stress the organizers. Personally, I can’t wait to step into my favorite section, the Design Room, dedicated to the most refined and imaginative creations. Here, originality reigns supreme, with designers like Alessio Boschi, Mike Joseph, Antonini Milano, Karen Suen constantly pushing the boundaries of creativity. Educational projects are now a permanent part of VO’s DNA, aimed at inspiring a new generation to pursue careers in jewelry. The initiative The 8, supported by mentors such as Boschi and Alessia Crivelli, will spotlight emerging talents. Admirably, Vicenzaoro’s team draws deeply from the region’s glittering heritage while writing the next chapters of Veneto’s golden power.
What’s next?
Another project aligned with the mission “Crafting the Future” is led by Paola De Luca and her Trendvision Jewellery + Forecasting. During VOS, the latest edition of its flagship publication will be unveiled: Trendbook 2027+. A true bible of insights and inspiration, it charts the creative directions set to shape jewelry design and production in the coming seasons. Modular Geometries, Spectrum Play, Quiet Elegance, Dynamism – these and other key trends not only define aesthetics, but also reflect values and social moods.
“Jewellery is no longer just an ornament. It is a cultural and technological artifact, a multidimensional, symbolic, modular and emotional language.” This manifesto sets the stage for the unique event “The Quantum Age. Jewellery and the Convergence of Cultural Transformations” on September 6 at the Palladio Theatre in the Expo Centre. Among the speakers: artist Samar Younes, Vogue India editor Archana Thani, Chinese culture consultant Helen Mao, and avant-garde designer Fabio Salini. The event will be opened by Paola De Luca herself, who the following day, September 7, will dive deeper into the key themes of Trendbook 2027+.
I’m heading to Vicenza with a great appetite for fresh inspiration – a chance to explore the newest collections from top brands, but also to soak up the knowledge and creative energy of one of the world’s most important jewelry regions. As part of my preparations, I recommend following the series Golden Stories of Veneto at @blingsiscom IG, a journey into the jewelry traditions of Vicenza, Venice, and beyond. And I warmly invite brands from the Veneto community to connect and collaborate around Vicenzaoro & beyond!
