Ale. Aleksandra Przybysz. “I created my own brand for full artistic freedom”

Aleksandra is a petite woman. She has very distinct hair – red and curly. Always really focused while talking. She designs, prototypes, and creates her jewelry with her own hands. She’s all about precision and quality, enjoying complete artistic freedom for five years. She’s conscientious and smart about her work – staying away from commerce, she managed to find her own place on the market.

Her studio is located in the heart of Poznań. An old stone tenement, designed by Roger Sławski. Winding staircase and characteristic red door, knock-knock and we enter Ale showroom. The studio is divided into two spaces, the exposition one and the goldsmith workshop. Entering the former, you can see cleverly exposed jewelry in a nice interior. On designer shelves and plaster ears, fingers and other body parts 😉

This is where you can try on wondrous pieces from different collections. So that’s what I did. Aleksandra was subjected to a lot of flattery as we were trying on the jewelry (the compliments were well-deserved) in front of an enormous mirror in a thick, sculptural gold frame.

Going further, you can find design prototypes in the jewelry mine. Drafts reflecting in pieces of a flat sheet, steel and silver. Letting others into their workshop shows a level of trust by a designer. I appreciate it and really enjoy the conversations when the recorder is turned off. I’m glad about the prospect of development and stay silent as the grave later on. 😉 For secrets about upcoming collections are always kept safe in the Magpie nest. 😉 All right, it’s time to talk about the Air collection.

Air is the latest collection by Ale. It came to life inspired by modern architecture, e.g. the Beijing Olympic stadium, also know as the Birds Nest, or the line 4 of the Budapest Metro. We witnessed Aleksandra and her assistant sending out creative packages to the media.

A great idea to try and reach a wider crowd, on paper and the Internet! We hope that the fashion magazine editors won’t be playing Michael Jordan with them and trash cans 😉 But instead appreciate the packages where Aleksandra put beautifully-made paper bijoux. I absolutely love this idea. I cross my fingers and bow my head!
