Radiance in the Palazzo – A Preview of Milano Jewelry Week 2025
Milano Jewelry Week is a show with a bold and distinctive character—one I always look forward to with great anticipation. From October 16–20, Milan will once again become the world’s capital of sparkle, celebrating what the organizers call “the culture of jewelry”—a phrase I instantly highlighted with a colorful pen in their press release. It perfectly captures the artistic spirit of this unique event, which truly feels like a celebration of creators.
No trade halls—think historic palazzos. No standard booths—think display cases worthy of museums. This atmosphere instantly reframes your perception: you’re not browsing products, you’re admiring art. What I truly appreciate is that the Italians, even in business contexts, know how to elevate the perspective—you are looking at art. At Milano Jewelry Week, it’s all about artistry, skill, creativity, and innovation.
A New Home for The Jewelry Hub
The largest and most international section of MJW is The Jewelry Hub—a curated showcase of high jewelry brands, diamond collections, tech innovations, and cutting-edge materials, complemented by a tailored program for industry professionals. This year, the organizers revealed a new location for this part of the program: elegant, prestigious, and very Milanese. See you at Palazzo Serbelloni! MJW guests are already accustomed to this level of refinement. The Artistar Jewels exhibition will once again be held at the stunning Palazzo Bovara—my personal favorite section of the program, fully dedicated to the most artistic and conceptually refined jewelry. This is a manifesto of creativity, style, and craftsmanship. And in an era increasingly dominated by automation, optimization, and AI—even in creative fields—this feels like a much-needed breath of fresh air. At Artistar Jewels, we’re reminded of a crucial truth: despite the cliché that “everything’s already been done,” human imagination truly knows no limits. And real luxury? It’s not just about carats, rare gems, and precious metals—it’s also about handwork, artistic vision, and the symbolism behind each creation. I’m also all for the decision to move The Talent Show—dedicated to emerging designers—into the same Palazzo Bovara space, running in parallel with Artistar Jewels. This will give more visitors the chance to discover raw, uncut diamonds among local talents.
Teamwork Makes the Dream Work
The previous edition of MJW attracted over 350 exhibitors from 60 countries. I’m confident this year’s show will be even more successful. The MJW team not only masterfully preserves the brand’s DNA, tapping into Milan’s dynamic energy, but also evolves the concept through meaningful collaborations that bring fresh value and new experiences to the program. On the long list of MJW partners are both Italian craft and jewelry institutions, as well as major international players like HRD Antwerp, INHORGENTA, and Precious Room by Muriel Piaser. It’s a strategy we know well from the fashion world—brands joining forces to expand influence, grow communities, and co-create. It’s a perfect fit for the jewelry scene. Representatives from these partner institutions will serve as judges in MJW’s official competition, and winners in categories like Contemporary Jewelry, Italian Excellence, Artistar Jewels, and more will be announced at the glamorous MJW Awarding Night, held on October 17 at Teatro San Babila. Milano Jewelry Week is something the entire city breathes. Under the Experiential Journey program, exhibitions, talks, parties, workshops, and art performances will unfold across dozens of local galleries, boutiques, and showrooms.
