ID.FOR.FUN. Multifunctional jewelry. Concrete orbits of city illusions.

If you’re looking for jewelry worn by your favorite celeb or fashion blogger, you’re gonna be disappointed, as you won’t find it here. However, you can trust me and allow me to transport you (even if just for a second) do a completely different place. Ha! You’re gonna meet other materials than gold, silver and platinum. So, shall we go on? 😉

Today, I’m taking you to Łódź. You’re in front gray housing estates. But right in the middle, there’s a really unique place. We enter the building and take the elevator to the last floor of the high building. The elevator shows numbers: 2, …6, …10. We’re there. I knock and the door opens. We’re being greeted by designers, and we come into the ID.FOR.FUN studio with an impressive view on the city landscape.

Let me tell you about the designs. Not only do Magda and Jarek share their life together, with their boisterous son, but also a passion for combining sculpting and jewelry. They design together. They complete and inspire each other on every step of designing. Their unique jewelry stands out by a kind of interdisciplinarity. Well-though minimalism, simplicity and geometric forms. They combine raw and industrial materials, such as acrylic, concrete and steel, in an incredible way. Each exhibit is created with an architect’s precision. They cross the boundaries of standard jewelry, integrating it with design. The manage to rescale sculpting forms into mini-objects with great intuition. Every collection is divided thematically, not based on fast trends. During the premiere, they surprise with unique works, which are shown only at exhibitions and function beyond the sales reach.  What’s interesting, it’s exactly these unavailable pieces that are the most desired one among the clients, who tend to be women full of class. Conscious of what they put on, knowing that they should steer clear of retail jewelry. Magda told me how one of them had called them, asking for something from the collection “for right now,” since she had her book signing in 30 minutes – she puts trust in them, knowing that they will pick something right for her. ID.FOR.FUN. is not for everyone, but it’s definitely appreciated by people with passion, a sense of aesthetics in their everyday life.

Have you ever held a piece of concrete, acrylic, or touched steel? I know, I know, you don’t have to answer, I’m sure a bazillion of times. 😉 But have you ever done it so mindfully, so haptically? I like to look for something valuable in jewelry. Something timeless that will stay in my collection for long. Probably that’s why the dose of jewelry minimalism by ID.FOR.FUN enraptures me so much.
