QERAT 2025: Where Artistry Meets Emotion
Sometimes, one flight is enough to change the way you perceive luxury. For me, that flight was the one to Kuwait — a place where jewelry stopped being just an ornament and became an experience.
Even the journey itself felt like a story about elegance: a business class flight, VIP airport service with a private chauffeur, and upon arrival — a sense of hospitality that instantly drew me into QERAT’s world.
In my room awaited a handwritten welcome note, a box of macarons, a platter of fresh fruit, and the most exquisite gift — a silk scarf featuring a hand-drawn bird, created especially for the event and inspired by The Four Lights of QERAT — Origin, Desire, Illumination and Eternity. The bird represented Light of Illumination — the light of inspiration — and it couldn’t have been a more perfect gift.
It didn’t just capture the spirit of QERAT — it also aligned perfectly with one of the strongest trends of 2025. I smiled — I already knew I would style it during the fair, because it wasn’t just a fashionable accessory, but a symbol and the narrative of the entire event.
The Four Lights of QERAT intertwined like elements — earth, fire, light, and emotion — creating a universe where jewelry isn’t just worn, but felt.
Origin was the beginning of everything — the earth itself, from which gemstones and gold are born.
Desire represented passion — the beating heart of craftsmanship, where art meets emotion.
Illumination was the spark — transforming tradition into modernity, revealing the soul of every creation.
And Eternity — the quiet promise that beauty born from meaning never fades.
I fell asleep with one thought: if the welcome was this thoughtful, what awaited at the event itself? Well, maybe two thoughts — because I also couldn’t help but wonder which brands I’d match with each of the Four Lights of QERAT.
Redefining the Modern Jewelry Fair
Day one at QERAT. I’m mesmerized — but also fully in my professional mode, ready to share all the details with you, my dear jewellery lovers…The event unfolded across two remarkable venues — Grand Hyatt Kuwait and The Arena.
The interiors of Grand Hyatt, with their space, light, and subtle detailing, reflected QERAT’s own philosophy — quiet luxury that doesn’t need to speak loudly to be felt. It was there, in a setting where luxury became an atmosphere rather than a statement, that the first edition of QERAT came to life.
Spanning over 3,000 square meters, the exhibition brought together more than 75 renowned jewelry and watch maisons — including Schreiner, Boucheron, Roberto Coin, and Pasquale Bruni. Each day, the event welcomed over 35,000 visitors and reached more than two million views across social media platforms.
Yet what truly set QERAT apart wasn’t the impressive list of brands. Every element — from the flawless Peacock Concierge Service, to the live sets by DJ Miro Mislani, to the serene collectors’ lounges — was designed to create intimacy at the heart of luxury.
After ten years of traveling across countless fairs in our bling-bling industry, I can say this boldly: while many chase grandeur, QERAT chose closeness.
Through its QERAT Talks — a series of 21 podcast-style interviews with designers and creative directors — the fair gave voice to craftsmanship, stories, and emotion.
What touched me most was the artistry of invisible details: the illustrated pillows, the chocolates embossed with the logo, the delicate scent of incense floating through the air.
“Luxury is not the shine that blinds — it’s the light that embraces.”
From the architectural rhythm of the stands to the custom silk scarves designed exclusively for the event, every detail reflected beauty infused with emotion.
Mr. Abdullah Al Manei & Mrs. Razan Al Suwaidi, Founders of QERAT
“From the very beginning, our vision for QERAT was clear — to create an experience that transcends the boundaries of a traditional jewelry exhibition. We wanted QERAT to be a place where artistry meets emotion, and where every participating brand is celebrated for its unique identity and heritage.
This first edition was a dream come true. To see so many distinguished houses, talented designers, and passionate visitors coming together under one roof was deeply fulfilling. The response — from both exhibitors and guests — reaffirmed our belief that Kuwait has a special place on the global map of fine jewelry.
As we look ahead to QERAT 2026, our mission remains the same: to continue celebrating craftsmanship, creativity, and culture in a way that inspires and connects people from all over the world.”
Kuwait — A Part of the Story
Kuwait itself became part of the story — a city where contemporary design intertwines with deep-rooted tradition. Here, modern architecture and refined boutiques coexist with a culture built on warmth, beauty, and generosity. That contrast — between innovation and spirituality — is precisely what makes QERAT’s identity so unique. That’s how I’d sum it up in short — but I promise that during the next edition of QERAT (which I already know will happen!) I’ll also show you more of the city itself — Kuwait’s gold souk, museums, and those charming cultural spots with good coffee and great food.
Luxury with a Soul
Let’s talk numbers — for those who need a little more than just emotions… In just five days, QERAT generated over two million Kuwaiti Dinars (≈ €6 million) in sales — but numbers only tell part of the story. Its real success lies in the emotion it created.
Each brand brought its own world: Italian ateliers unveiling sculptural high-jewelry creations, Bahraini pearl housesmerging heritage with modern aesthetics, and Lebanese artists transforming jewelry into poetry. Together, they composed a symphony of craftsmanship — global in reach, yet deeply intimate in spirit.
What fascinated me most was the artistry behind every gesture. From architectural design to visual storytelling, from bespoke silk scarves illustrated for the event to the elegant scent that filled the air — everything was intentional, refined, and poetic.
As I once wrote on my Instagram: true luxury never shouts. It doesn’t need to. It reveals itself quietly — in the weight of a gem, the softness of fabric, the care behind every touch.
QERAT 2025 embodied that philosophy perfectly: it wasn’t about excess, but about essence. About beauty that moves, connects, and lingers long after the lights go down.
Reflection
QERAT 2025 was more than an event. It was a feeling — a dialogue between art and elegance, a bridge between heritage and modernity.
Leaving Kuwait, I felt inspired — not only by the jewelry I saw, but by the spirit of a place that believes in excellence done its own way. If this is what the first edition looked like, the future ones may well set a new global standard.
P.S.
I’m still thinking about which brands could represent the Four Lights of QERAT.
Maybe… Origin — Azar Gems, Illumination — Qirdala, Ferrifirenze, and Signature by FA, Eternity — Mattar and Boghosian, and Desire — Charmaleena and Piranesi…
What do you think? 😉
