New Ideas for the New Year – a Preview of Vicenzaoro January 2026
It’s already a tradition: each New Year, the jewellery world gathers momentum in the picturesque city of Vicenza. From January 16–20, the city will once again host the iconic Vicenzaoro jewellery show. Tradition aside, I expect nothing but fresh energy and surprises from this edition. A new show claim, the premiere of the VO Awards, and the final stage of the Expo Centre’s grand expansion – if I were to guess the Italian Exhibition Group team’s New Year’s resolutions, they’d read: to amaze, to connect, to inspire.
Vicenzaoro is a unique blend. On one hand – 70 years of history and the authority of a seasoned veteran. On the other – a youthful curiosity and an insatiable appetite for the new. The biannual VO events, held each January and September by Italian Exhibition Group, form a vibrant platform uniting all players of the brilliant industry: brand owners, designers, buyers, suppliers, producers, technologists, media and influencers. At the heart of it all, of course, is exceptional jewellery – a comprehensive showcase of the newest collections from the global elite and from Made in Italy masters alike. Vicenzaoro is not only an ideal place to do business, it also plays a crucial role in promoting the goldsmithing excellence of the Veneto region. Its reputation stems from the fact that VO is more than a show – it’s a community.
The Brilliance of the “Three Ps”
The January fair will present a manifesto that unites all these values: People, Product, Places. People – relationships, community, the business ecosystem – because there is no beautiful jewellery without human creativity, talent, work, emotion, taste, and style. Product – jewels born from aspiration for perfection, respect for materials, admiration for the uniqueness of gems, and mastery of both craftsmanship and technology. Places – meeting points like Vicenza itself, but also places of production, local traditions and global markets, as well as the metaphorical spaces where shared goals and ideas connect.
I deeply admire how the VO team celebrates the ideological meaning of jewellery and embraces the mission of promoting the values embodied by this luminous industry. These aren’t just marketing slogans. Anyone who has met Matteo Farsura, Global Exhibition Manager of Italian Exhibition Group, and his extraordinary team, knows that the concept of the “three Ps” is a real compass for the development of Vicenzaoro – and the true mission behind the show.

The Debut of the VO Awards
In January, these ideas will take form. Thousands of guests and exhibitors (People!) from all over the world will arrive at the Vicenza Expo Centre (Places!) to discover, admire and acquire spectacular jewellery collections (Product!) – gathering inspiration, building relationships and tracking the trends that will shape 2026. The highlight of the upcoming Vicenzaoro January will be the launch of the VO Awards – Italian Exhibition Group’s brand-new project. This debut marks a natural next step for a fair of undeniable global stature and a hub uniting the world’s finest experts. “The competition will have eight categories, each representing a creative world, a stylistic vision, a different interpretation of the goldsmith’s excellence,” the organizers explain. The categories will correspond to Vicenzaoro’s communities – Icon, Look and Creation. A jury will select three finalists per category, whose works will be showcased during the January show. What’s more, visitors will take part in choosing the winners – making each victory even more meaningful and celebrated. Meanwhile, as preparations unfold, another milestone is being written: the final stage of the Expo Centre expansion is underway. The IEG team continues to ensure top comfort for visitors during this major transformation, which will soon make Vicenzaoro’s offer even broader and more dynamic.
